Data analysis was done in SPSS21 using the analysis of covariance. The results showed that reality therapy increased the total score of psychological hardiness (F=8.111, P=0.009) and control subscales (F=4.508, P=0.044) and championship (F= 15.721, P=0.001) was effective and remained constant over time, but was not effective on the commitment subscale (F=1.657, P=0.221). Reality therapy has played an effective role in increasing the psychological hardiness of female-headed households over time. It is recommended that this treatment be used in other similar situations.

Extramarital relationship is the establishment of any relationship with a third party without the knowledge of the spouse. Marital infidelity is a multidimensional issue in which various factors play a role. The aim of this study was to combine the results of qualitative studies conducted in the area of infidelity and extramarital affairs in men and women using a meta-synthesis method. The research method was qualitative meta-synthesis from the perspective of Sandelowski and Barroso. After asking the research question, systematic search based on Persian and English keywords was performed from domestic databases such as Noormagz, Magiran, SID and foreign databases such as Google scholar, PubMed, Scopus from 2002 to 2021. A total of 61 qualitative articles were extracted. Some of these articles were excluded due to the inappropriateness in the content, irrelevant research method and duplication. Finally, 14 articles were reviewed. The meta-synthesis results showed that three factors, including basic or underlying (14 concepts), contextual (12 concepts) and intervening (19 concepts) factors are directly and indirectly involved in extramarital affairs and infidelity. Contextual and intervening factors may pave the way for the emergence of basic factors in causing marital infidelity. Also, the basic factor is not only influenced by other factors but also plays a decisive role in infidelity. A set of factors play a role in the occurrence of infidelity and each of them can be play a role in this regard. By identifying these factors and developing an educational package appropriate to each of the causes, effective action can be taken to prevent infidelity.

The purpose of this study was the role of sensitivity to victimization, hostile attribute, ion and anger rumination in predicting marital status. This research was a descriptive correlational study. The population included people aged 20 to 50 years living in Ardabil city; 150 samples were selected and studied by convenience sampling method and completed the Justice Sensitivity Inventory (JSA, victim sensitivity sub-scale), Hostile Attributional Bias Questionnaire (SIP-HBQ), Anger Rumination Scale (ARS) and Golomboc-Rast Marital Status Questionnaire (GRIMS). Pearson correlation analysis and multivariate regression were used to analyze the data. The Pearson correlation test results showed a positive and significant relationship between sensitivity to victimization, hostile attribution bias, and anger rumination with marital problems (P <0.001). Also, regression analysis results showed that the sensitivity to victimization, hostile attribution bias and anger rumination significantly predict marital problems. Sensitivity to victimization, hostile attribution and anger rumination as cognitive factors influencing the occurrence of aggressive behavior in the framework of social information processing theory are discussed. The role of these variables in the occurrence of marital problems was investigated.

Marital infidelity is one of the most important injuries and causes of family breakdown that has increased in recent years. Understanding the variables that affect the reduction of psychological problems of people affected by infidelity is very important because it can improve the emotional relationship between couples and reduce the risk of family breakdown. The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of forgiveness in the relationship between loneliness and sexual satisfaction with depression and feelings of inferiority in women affected by infidelity. 250 women affected by infidelity in Tehran were selected using purposive sampling method and participated in this study. Participants completed the Russell & Pilva & Cortona (1980) Loneliness Questionnaire, Larson et al. (1998), Ray et al. (2001), Beck Depression (1996), and Yao et al. (1997). Findings showed that the direct effects of loneliness, sexual satisfaction and forgiveness on depression and feelings of inferiority are significant. The results of path analysis showed that forgiveness has a mediating role in the relationship between loneliness and sexual satisfaction with depression and feelings of inferiority. Based on the research findings, the role of forgiveness in the occurrence and exacerbation of depression and feelings of inferiority can be confirmed. As a result, by providing the necessary training to women affected by infidelity in order to improve forgiveness skills, the harm caused by infidelity can be reduced.
