Abstract: The failure of couples in resolving marital problems could be expressed in various forms so that each of them can be a threat to the health of marital relationship. One common type of marital discord is marital dissatisfaction, which is affected by many factors, including lack of differentiation, forgiveness and meaningfulness in life. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of differentiation, life meaningfulness and forgiveness in predicting marital satisfaction among married female students of Islamic Azad University of Dezful. For this purpose, a sample of 256 married female students was selected. Four types of instruments were used: Skowron’s revised Differentiation of Self Questionnaire (DSI-R), the Life-Regard Index (LRI), the Forgiveness scale (FS), and Enrich Couple Scales (ECS). One of the most common childhood disorders that have attracted the attention of psychology and psychiatry is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Because of the problems and the negative consequences resulting from it, psychologists, psychiatrists and experts in the field of education have tried to treat this disorder. The present study was performed to study the effects of child-parent relation therapy on symptoms of ADHD among male elementary school students in Sanandaj city. The research method was an experimental study, including pretest-posttest and follow-up with control group. The research instrument used in this study was Conners Parent Rating of Childhood Behavior Problems (CPRCBP). From all the students who were referred to a psychological center, 36 male students were selected from elementary schools in Sanandaj, and were assigned to two groups: experimental and control (18 students each). Before starting the training, pretest was administered to the two groups. Then, the experimental group was exposed to child-parent relation therapy. At the end of training sessions, post-test, and one month later follow up test was administrated to groups. The results showed that child-parent relation therapy has decreased significantly the symptoms of ADHD in posttest and follow-up. Also, child-parent relation therapy has decreased significantly the attention deficit and hyperactivity subscales. The results indicated that child-parent relation therapy is significantly effective in decreasing symptoms of ADHD. Applying this method is recommended by the psychologists, counselors and psychiatrics.

The failure of couples in resolving marital problems could be expressed in various forms so that each of them can be a threat to the health of marital relationship. One of the causes of marital disputes is disaffection which is common in many couples and is influenced by many factors including differentiation, neuroticism, forgiveness and martial conflict. The purpose of this study was to examine the causal relationship between differentiation, neuroticism and forgiveness and marital disaffection by mediation of marital conflict. For this purpose, a sample of 300 married male teachers in elementary, middle and high schools of Estahban participated in this study. Participants were asked to respond to the Marital Disaffection Scale (MDS), the Revised Differentiation of Self Questionnaire (DSI-R), the Neuroticism of NEO Five-Factor Personality Inventory (NEO-FFI), the Forgiveness Scale (FS) and Sanai’s Revised Marital Conflicts Questionnaire (MCQ-R). The results showed that all coefficients of the path between variants were statistically significant. Moreover, the direct paths of differentiation, neuroticism, forgiveness and marital conflict to marital disaffection were statistically significant. The direct paths of differentiation, neuroticism and forgiveness to marital conflict were significant as well. Also, the results of this study revealed that the indirect relationship between differentiation, neuroticism and forgiveness and marital disaffection was also significant through marital conflict. It seems that marital disaffection is a complex phenomenon which is influenced by various factors such as differentiation, neuroticism, forgiveness and martial conflict.
